In cold and windy areas, they made all the difference.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the factors he values most is the <strong>thermal versatility<\/strong> of the clothing\u2014something essential in races with large temperature swings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI hardly had to change clothes during the event. A high level of competition, lots of runners\u2026 and truly tough moments, like the climb from the Parador up to La Rambleta at 3,555 meters, in the middle of the night, with below-zero temperatures. There, thermal gear isn\u2019t just helpful\u2014it\u2019s essential.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Crossing the finish line, that second-place finish meant far more than just a result:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s the reward for all the daily effort. And not just mine, but also my family\u2019s, who support me in everything. I feel very lucky to experience things like this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even though motivation isn\u2019t always consistent\u2014especially after long workdays as an electrician\u2014<strong>discipline is his strongest ally<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cNot every day I feel like training, but I know I have to stick with it. Discipline is what makes the difference in the long run.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the Blue Trail, Alexis also completed the <strong>UTMB Val d\u2019Aran<\/strong>, another demanding race on the calendar, once again relying on Lurbel\u2019s technical gear to face the challenges of the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those considering getting into ultra-distance running, his advice is clear:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEnjoy it\u2014because sport is incredible medicine.
